RIBS Inc. has been selected for the 8th Deep Tech Startup Support Program (DTSU), funded by the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO), Japan's national research and development agency.
The Deep Tech Startup Support Program (DTSU) is a national initiative that provides long-term support for the research, development, and commercialization of startups with breakthrough technologies. The program aims to accelerate innovation, address critical societal challenges, and foster the creation of new industries.
Aortic arch aneurysms have long presented a significant challenge for endovascular treatment because of their complex anatomy involving the supra-aortic branch vessels. To address this unmet clinical need, RIBS Inc. is developing the world's first dedicated device based on the proprietary RIBS (Retrograde In-Situ Branched Stent-Graft) technique.
By transforming a highly specialized procedure into a reproducible and standardized therapeutic solution, we aim to provide a new minimally invasive treatment option for patients around the world. Through the development and commercialization of the RIBS Stent Graft System, we remain committed to advancing the standardization of endovascular treatment for aortic arch aneurysms and improving patient outcomes worldwide.
