RIBS Inc. is pleased to announce that the 21st Japan Endovascular Symposium (JES), chaired by Takao Ohki, M.D., Ph.D., Representative Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Company, will be held over three days from Friday, August 21 through Sunday, August 23, 2026.
The Japan Endovascular Symposium (JES) was founded by Dr. Ohki in 2006 with the aim of advancing endovascular treatment and improving the quality of medical care. Since its establishment, JES has continued to evolve as a forum for the open exchange and discussion of not only the latest technologies and treatment strategies, but also complex cases, complications, and lessons learned from unsuccessful outcomes.
Bringing together physicians and researchers from across Japan, JES has grown into one of the country’s leading academic meetings in the field of endovascular therapy. The 20th symposium, held in 2025, welcomed more than 1,400 participants. This year marks the 21st edition of the event.
Under the leadership of Dr. Ohki as Chair, the symposium aims to foster in-depth discussion of individual cases and treatment strategies, enabling participants to take away practical insights that can be applied directly to clinical practice and ultimately contribute to better patient care.
JES has developed into more than an academic meeting. It embodies Dr. Ohki’s conviction that medicine must continue to evolve. As the symposium enters its 21st year, this principle remains unchanged, and discussions will continue to explore and shape the future of endovascular treatment.
The program will also include discussion of the RIBS procedure, which Dr. Ohki has been developing over many years.
RIBS Inc. will continue to pursue the development of innovative medical technologies that contribute to the advancement of healthcare through close engagement with clinical and academic communities.
