We are pleased to announce that Takao Ohki, Representative Director and CEO of RIBS, Inc., will speak at STS-ASCVTS Aortic Summit 2026, to be held in Tokyo on November 13–14, 2026.
Jointly organized by The Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) and The Asian Society for Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery (ASCVTS), this international scientific meeting focuses on the treatment of aortic diseases. Experts in aortic care from around the world will gather to discuss the latest findings and treatment strategies in open surgery and endovascular therapy.
On Friday, November 13, Dr. Ohki will present the early clinical outcomes of the RIBS procedure for aortic arch aneurysms and experience with its use in Japan during “Symposium 4 TEVAR.” His presentation will review the clinical experience accumulated at medical institutions across Japan and discuss the clinical significance and future potential of the RIBS procedure. He will also introduce the ongoing development of the RIBS Stent Graft System.
Established in April 2025, RIBS, Inc. is working to standardize the RIBS procedure and commercialize dedicated medical devices, guided by its mission to bring RIBS, an innovative treatment for aortic arch aneurysms, to patients worldwide. Building on the knowledge accumulated in clinical practice, we are advancing development to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of these devices and establish a treatment technique that can be performed at a wider range of medical institutions.
We will continue to advance research and development in collaboration with clinicians, with the goal of bringing a new treatment option for aortic arch aneurysms to patients and healthcare providers around the world.
